Motor Vehicle Record Reports for Renewal Business

Clearcover Insurance Company will begin ordering MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) reports on renewal business. Your agency will NOT be charged by Clearcover for renewal MVR reports.

Updated driving history information enables verification of the information necessary to determine continued underwriting eligibility and proper rating for the risk for each policy term.

Reports will be ordered on all drivers in the household and prior to policy renewal based on state specific required lead times. MVR information is obtained from a consumer reporting agency and as a result, we are required to send a notice of adverse action when:

  • New driving history information results in a premium increase.
  • New driving history results in a policy non-renewal.

Adverse action notices for renewal MVR orders will be sent to customers by email. The adverse action notice will provide information on how to contest the contents of the report or request more information.
