How the claims process works

Here is what to expect when you file a claim:

  1. Determine coverage — Our team will check to make sure your incident is covered and that an insurance claim is the best path forward toward resolution.
  2. Estimate the damage — For most claims, we’ll need to estimate the damages or amount of the loss in order to make sure you get paid correctly.
  3. Resolve the claim — After we understand the incident and damages, we’ll work to resolve your claim. This could happen immediately or include negotiations or legal proceedings, depending on the type of claim.
