What is Car Care?

Car Care is a service that makes car maintenance affordable and easy, offered to our users at no added cost. With Car Care, customers can save an average of 25% on car maintenance, getting access to “hidden” low prices that are only available through Car Care, powered by our partner CarAdvise. These maintenance savings can add up to $400 a year in discounts. Customers can easily compare prices, schedule appointments, and approve services online, all through the Clearcover app. 

Customers also get access to top brands and trusted mechanics, including shops like Firestone, Jiffy Lube, and Pep Boys. Discounted service is available at over 23,000 shops nationwide. Currently, Car Care is only available to Clearcover members in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Utah who have an active or pending Clearcover policy.

How much money could this save me?

Car Care members save an average of 25% off the shop price for maintenance and may receive discounts of up to 40%. That could add up to $400 a year in savings on car maintenance. With Car Care, you’ll always get a price lower than you would in-shop. 

How do I use Car Care?

To use Car Care, you must have an active Clearcover policy and download and activate the Clearcover app. To compare prices or schedule service online, do the following:

1. Open the Clearcover app.
2. Look for the "Car Care" section on your home screen.
3. Click See maintenance & discounts to see more vehicle maintenance details, as well as available appointments and prices near you.

If you are no longer a Clearcover policyholder, you will lose access to your Car Care benefits. 

How is Car Care able to offer such low prices on maintenance?

Car Care is powered by our partnership with CarAdvise. CarAdvise has the largest consumer “fleet” of vehicles nationwide. CarAdvise bundles the fleets of individuals and small and medium businesses to create the largest consumer fleet in North America.  Fleets can leverage the number of vehicles they have to lower the price on services through bulk discounting. The bigger the fleet, the more negotiating power that fleet has. That’s really important for Fleet Pricing.

Because CarAdvise can deliver a certain amount of business, shops are willing to negotiate lower prices on just about any car repair, ranging from oil changes to brakes to tires. Businesses have been using this tactic to save money on their car repairs, and now you can too.

Does Car Care work with my mechanic?

Car Care works with over 23,000 repair shops nationwide. To check if your repair shop is in-network, please open the Clearcover app and click on the See maintenance & discounts section on your home screen. Next, click schedule a service to see available shops near you. 

How can I join?

Right now, Car Care is only available to Clearcover members in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Utah who have an active or pending policy.
