As an agent, you can cancel a customer's policy in the Clearcover agent portal quickly and easily.
Follow the instructions below to learn how to cancel a policy.
- In the portal, search for the policy and click View.
- While on the policy in the portal, select "Cancel Policy" on the left-hand side.
3. Provide the cancellation reason and effective date. You can only choose same-day or future effective dates for cancelation.
Canceling at Renewal
If a renewal term is available and you want the policy to be canceled at the end of the current term, choose "Last day of Policy". Trying to use the Scheduled option will result in an error.
Notes
- If a customer has an overdue balance, you will be prompted to collect the premium before entering the cancellation flow.
- The ability to self-service cancellations has automatically been enabled for your agency.
