If you believe the insurance status shown on a quote is incorrect, you can challenge it by submitting official documentation that proves your customer is currently insured.
Accepted Documentation
1. Current Declaration Page
A declaration page from your customer’s current carrier that shows:
- The policy is active and currently in force (not a future renewal)
2. Letter of Experience (LOE)
A dated LOE from the current carrier that confirms the customer’s insurance history.
If your customer has multiple years of prior coverage, submitting an LOE or both their original (first) declaration page and current declaration page is recommended. This helps ensure they receive proper credit for their full insurance history and are rated correctly.
Eligible Policy Types
We can only accept documentation for the following policy types:
- Personal auto
- Commercial auto
- Motorcycle
Not Accepted
The following documents cannot be used to challenge insurance status:
- Insurance ID cards (These do not show bodily injury limits, which are required for accurate rating.)
- General liability or non-auto policies
